Welcome to the SUAC Good Reads Blog

Welcome to the Good Reads blog. SUAC students will use this blog to make recommendations about the books they are reading for their extensive reading homework.  When making a recommendation, you must remember to include the following information.

1. Your first name, last initial, and class code (ask your teacher if you do not know)
2. Title of the book (put it in italics)
3. Author
4. Publisher
5. Level of the book (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6)
6. Number of words in the book (look on the back)
7. Brief summary or reason for recommending the book (about 75 words)
8. An image (a picture and/or video clip) related to the book

Be creative. Use the text tools to change the font and size and color. Highlight key points and made the post look unique.

Never copy any text from the book or internet. The recommendation MUST BE YOUR OWN WORDS.

An example book recommendation has been given below.

Hello Everyone. This is Kaitou Y. from the EC1 M3 class. I am writing to recommend everyone to read the book, Gulliver's Travels. It was written by Jonathan Swift. It is published by Penguin Longman. It is a level 2 book and has 3,897 words. Many students may be familiar with this story from when they were younger, but if you read it again, you may see that it is about more than Gulliver traveling to many different places. The story has many political ideas and each place is a way to criticize man and politics. Read it and you will see. It is still a very popular book and has been made into many movies.  Below is a clip of the most recent movie version.  It is playing in Japan the spring of 2011. Enjoy the book.
