Hello, everyone. This is Kenji Okazaki from EC1 Ｍ６ class. 

I will introduce the wondreful book that I've read. And I'm writing to recommend everyone read the book. The title of the book is “DREAM GIRLS”. This book is based on novelization by DENENE MILLNER. It is published by SCHOLASTIC. It is level 3 book, and it has about 9000 ~ 10000 words.

Originally, It was a musical. Then it was made into a movie. This is the story of “The Dreamettes”( a group that consists of three girls in Detroit, USA ) trying to realize their dream to be star. It was 1960s. There were many discriminations against the black people. The black people hardly could be star. Almost all great songs made by black people were plagiarized by the white people. Meanwhile, they will strive to realize their dream…..

 This is fantastic story. The voice of the girls is amazing. Please read this book and watch the movie!!

 This story is that a boy, Billy Elliot, realized his dream. He lives in the north-east of Engaland with his father, brother, and Nan. Even He has family, he's always alone. His mather died already. He loves music, dancing, and his mother. He's learned boxing on his father's recommendation, but doesn't like it...in next room, girls practice ballet. He's fascinated with ballet Without notice. His father doesn't like his son does such thing like girls do. So, they opposed to each other.  But...Billy thought
I do want to do ballet!
His father's mind has changed little by little, he follows his dream again.

This story'll move you to tears. It's really easy to read. You can watch this movie not only a book.

Flying PUMPKINS!

 Hello everyone. This is Akane T. from EC1 M6 class. Today, I will introduce my favorite book. The book's name is `Flying PUMPKINS!`



This book is about the contest in the state of Pelaware, America. The contest is called `Punkin Chunkin`. It is simple but fun : The players throw their pumpkins by using a machine. The machine that throws a pumpkin the farthest wins. The contest started over 20 years ago. There were a few people who join the contest and come to watch it. However now, it becomes very popular and there are more than 80 teams and more than 20,000 people to watch it. This story is very short, but it is very interesting and I became to go to watch it! So, I recommend this book. Please go to the library and take the series of these books! Thank you for your reading!

 In Japan, this book is not known to everyone much, but the movie was made in 1996. There  are  four  animals; Mole, Ratty, Mr.Toad and Badger. They heartwarmingly live in the forest which is far from villege. They sometimes confront various problems ,for example, Toad drive a motor car around, but they get along each otherThis book is very humor.

Hello, everyone. I'm Masaya Ohira. Today, I'll introduce the book I've read. It was written by Ted Conner and published by SCHOLASTIC. It's a level 2 and about 8,000 words. It was made into a movie. It's a serial book(from X-MEN to X-MEN3). It's a story of friction between human and mutants and the efforts of the mutants who try to get along or exterminate all human. It's a story of racial discrimination that may involve us in the future. It's a story of part2, so I recommend you to read the X-men series from Part1and finally read the part3(X-men3 final decision). If you come to like X-men, watch the movie and TV animation. This book is based on famous movie. This movie won a lot of awards. For example, Academy award, Golden globe award. This story is about one boy in India. His name is Jamal Malik. He is very poor, so he didn't have chance to study. He tried famous quiz program, Quiz millionaire. It  has very difficult questions, and nobody expected him to answer them. But, he had many hard and severe experiences in his childhood and answered these questions through them. He never give up whatever happens. He has very strong mind. I was encouraged by the book. This story moved me deeply.
